OUR STORY

The people behind Rotisserie Kitchen:

Adam and Taylor are a local couple born and raised in Delta and are continuing to raise their own young family in Delta now.

Adam was born into the food industry working for his family at the young age of 12 in their locally owned grocery store before branching off on his own to attend culinary school in the fall of 2019. By bringing these two major experiences together he now has an excellent head for how to run a business and a great sense of what culinary professionals need to succeed.

Taylor has had many different experiences in the food industry and customer service positions, she even met Adam while working as a Cashier at his family’s grocery store back in 2011. Since then she has spent 5 years in the banking industry gaining invaluable financial literacy experience and shifting gears entirely has now spent the past 7 years as a very busy hairstylist in the heart of Ladner village.

The two of them were married in 2019 and have since welcomed two beautiful children to the world. Some of their favourite hobbies include EATING delicious food, vacationing, hosting events in their home, and now owning and operating their dream business together.

How it all started:

In the winter of 2019 Adam graduated from North West Culinary Academy in Vancouver - eager to find his niche and only to be met with global pandemic closures just a few months later. Like many others - he took to home baking during these socially distanced months and developed a love for sourdough bread baking. It started to occur to Adam and Taylor that if he wanted to wholesale his bread to local cafes and restaurants he would need to bake his bread out of somewhere other than their home to keep everything above board and increase production. Sadly there weren’t any easily accessible kitchen spaces for rent nearby. Realizing this gap in the market is what lead Adam and Taylor to start looking for a space to renovate and create a kitchen for not just themselves or culinary enthusiasts of South Delta, but people from all over, especially those on the south end of the Fraser River not wanting to commute to a commissary kitchen downtown.

WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO US

COMMUNITY

Our family is rooted deeply in the South Delta community and so is our business. This concept was born from a desire to help local business owners and professionals grow their businesses while helping them stay close to home and thus spend more time with their families while gaining success. We value this community so much and will always be invested in helping contribute to local initiatives and events. Please never hesitate to reach out to us with these opportunities to give back.

QUALITY

One consistent throughout Adam and Taylors lives has been the reoccurring theme of quality over quantity. Which is why at Rotisserie Kitchen we strive to never over-book our kitchen. To make sure all equipment is running 100% efficiently and to do everything in our power to keep the facility looking as clean and beautiful as the day we opened.

SMALL BUSINESS

Here at Rotisserie Kitchen we believe that small businesses are the backbone of the community and economy. We will always look out for our fellow small business owners and promote each other as much as we can.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Adam Lockhart has never set foot in a Walmart in his entire life – entirely out of principle? – This is where we stand on supporting small business.
